Making a payment

Your first payment is due when your grace period ends. Enroll in autopay on the Repayment Plans page to get a 0.25% interest rate reduction while autopay is active.

Deferment and forbearance

If you can't make payments, you may qualify to pause them. Interest may keep growing during a pause. Contact us before you miss a payment.

Tax documents

If you paid $600 or more in interest during the year, we send Form 1098-E by January 31.

Report a problem

If we haven't resolved your issue, you can contact the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman.
